My Story

Hi, I’m Jess, a busy wife and mum of three, and the heart behind The Sequel. What started as a love for spicy romance novels and beautiful fresh blooms quickly grew into a passion for creating gifts that feel thoughtful, memorable, and just a little bit magical.

My reading journey only began about 18 months ago - but once I picked up my first spicy romance, I was hooked. I fell in love with the way a good story can sweep you into a fantastical world, offer a moment of escape, or make your heart race with a dark romance where happily ever after still reigns.

Books quickly became my little pocket of peace - something just for me. And as my TBR pile grew, so did an idea: to combine my love for beautiful, fresh flowers with the magic of a really good book. That’s how ‘The Sequel’ was born.
